Home

From the time this place was nothing more than a pile of dirt, all I really wanted was to create a place of safety, stability, and comfort for myself and my baby girl. Our lives had been in a constant state of transition and I felt as if we were free-falling without a safety net or a place to call "home".  From there, I began the buying, building, and designing process entirely on my own. I was absolutely terrified. Nearly every step of the way I felt overwhelmed and unsure myself and my abilities. However, on the other side of my fear and insecurities, I saw "home". So I kept going.  Today, 7 months after closing, Vera is sound asleep upstairs, ready and excited to begin kindergarten tomorrow. When I look around, I see memories, not rooms. I feel the peace only home can provide. Baby girl, we're finally home.
